Hyun-Ho Shim and Young Huh have earned a well-deserved promotion as local Partners of Mazars in Korea, effective from September, 2021. This promotion is recognizing their outstanding abilities in their professional fields, passion and dedication to Mazars in Korea.

Hyun-Ho Shim

Hyun-ho is a Korean Certified Public Accountant and joined Mazars in 2018. He is currently in charge of financial advisory services (FAS) and on some audit clients. Through his outstanding advisory skills, he delivers excellence to his clients.

Q1. Please tell us about your feelings about becoming a local partner.

As a local partner, the first feeling I have is a sense of responsibility. I will do my best to grow together as a partner of the firm and with my colleagues. I would like to thank those partners and colleagues who have always believed in me.

Q2. What is your role as a local partner in the future?

As a FAS and audit specialist, and now as an engagement team leader, I plan to work in a way that encompasses the whole rather than the parts, driving Mazars to the top in Korea.

Q3. Please tell us about your future plans within Mazars in Korea

Mazars in Korea (Sebit accounting firm) has infinite potential for future growth as we are composed of a highly motivated and competent experts vesting for an integrated firm. I believe that the basis for this potential is high service quality, which is one of the most important value that Mazars is pursuing. I will continue to strive to acquire and disseminate professional knowledge so that we can provide a “beyond expectations” level of service to our customers, and nurture new Mazarians.

Young Huh

Young is a Korean Certified Public Accountant and joined Mazars in 2019. He has contributed to the growth of Mazars tax service in Korea, providing customers with a highly satisfying experience.

Q1. Please tell us about your feelings about becoming a local partner.

It has been over two years since I joined Mazars. I was able to become a local partner thanks to the trust and support of global partners of Mazars in Korea (Sebit accounting firm). There have been a number of important milestones in those 2 years for the company, such as moving our company's office, but this promotion is the most meaningful moment for myself.

Q2. What is your role as a local partner in the future?

My role as a tax team leader is to continuously contribute for the overall growth of the corporation.

Q3. Please tell us about your future plans within Mazars in Korea

I will give my tax team members an opportunity to develop and work smartly to create synergies within the practice, as a true integrated partnership.
